Evening with Bacharach

Evenin' with Bacharach

Eleganza e armonia per un intrattenimento di classe

Refined vocal melodies, a harmonious background where the singer’s improvisation really stand out, will be crucial during the emotional retrospective of Burt Bacharach's most popular music compositions. Burt Bacharach, a name that won’t sound familiar to a lot of people, some say they don’t know him at all, but his music speaks for himself. Without a doubt everyone had the chance, even once, to listen to a song with his signature on it: on the radio, in a movie, or on a TV commercial.

Melodies that made the history of music
la storia della musica

Pianist, singer and producer, but mostly an original and hard to label composer, Bacharach for over fifty years leaves his mark with top charting hits and soundtracks straight out of cult movies (Casino Royale, Butch Cassidy, Arturo, Alfie).

His way of composing, with orchestral arrangements that are always recognizable, doesn’t bring us to one genre only, in fact his music has been interpreted by some of the greatest names of jazz, soul and pop.

His muse will always be Dionne Warwick, but over the years a lot of artists have celebrated his talent, from Tom Jones to Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Elton John, and more recently Elvis Costello, Seal, Sheryl Crow, Diana Krall.

A tribute band featuring outstanding artists

Evenin 'with Bacharach was born a few years ago from the idea of some professional musicians (who were already collaborating in other ensembles), who have always been fascinated by the work of the American composer and excited to create a monographic project dedicated to him.

The lineup includes the famous I say a little prayer for you, The look of love, Raindrops keep fallin’ on my head, Walk on by, re-proposed in a more intimate dimension by three female voices and an acoustic trio (piano, double bass and drums. ). The new arrangements, created ad hoc for this show, do not distort Bacharach's style, on the contrary they enhance the character and complexity of his way of composing.

The intensity of the performers and the quality of the musicians convey all the magic of Bacharach: his songs - a perfect fusion of music and words - and the refined ensemble that performs them, create a suggestive show with a great atmosphere.
